Hello, I am part of a volunteer group that manages our in town youth soccer program. Each season, we put together approximately 30 teams of 15 kids based on different variables. Making these rosters can be very challenging and time consuming, however, they all follow simple rules. For example, if a players parent coaches, that player should be on that parents team. If a player has requested to be on another childs team that request should attempt to be satisfied. We score each player based on skillsets and try and make the teams have a similar total score based on skillset. All-in all there are maybe 5 variables that make up a team. I work in a manufacturing company. I am trying to create an automated manning roster of each of the 3 shifts with a reports tab of each shift and then a report of all shifts combined. We are wanting to be able to visually see the "Inactive" (OPEN, FMLA and OUT) by Supervisor, by position, by how many are each by supervisor ect. And when updates are made to the master rosters then the charts will update too. I have spent many hours and can not get it automated the way it should be.
