1.) Non-linear analyses
to do some research and to Evaluate the non-linear analysis capabilities of Finite Element Analysis software (NX Siemens). Demonstrate your understanding of the difference between linear and non-linear analyses with respect to both geometric non-linearity and material non-linearity. With regard to the Nastran solver, evaluate the differences between the use of solvers SOL106 and SOL 601, 106. This report should focus NX siemens background as the sujbect. 2) Optimisation
Evaluate the optimisation capabilities of Finite Element Analysis software. Demonstrate your understanding of the difference between ‘design optimisation’, ‘geometric optimisation’ and ‘topology optimisation’. With respect to the Nastran solver, evaluate the differences between using solvers SOL101 and SOL 200 for optimisation (this section should be 1000-1500 words)
Research and assess the value of these techniques to design in modern industry, giving examples where possible.
