Dear Sir,
As a multilinguistic teacher/translator/philosopher with a lot of experience in using multi-media & excercises on internet with my German students [learning Dutch], I might be the one you are looking for. I have a Master Degree in Philosophy and I have also a teaching-degree. I am specialized in translating German/English into Dutch and I have been teaching language to adolescents and adults over 5 years now in Kleve, Germany. My best quality is that I can stay methodical and analytical although I like to use lots of humor, YouTube, television and games/puzzles. Thanks to my experience as a tutor [4 years] and my feeling for ethical dilemma's I am also a teacher who can detect personal or circumstantional obstacles and help remove them.
As an academic I speak English rather well, but of course it's not perfect. My German is very good indeed. Since I have been living close to the German border all my life and of course due to my work as a [academic] translator, it has really become my near-native language. I work at a rate of 45 USD an hour, so 3 hours = 135 USD. I have Skype. I would like to know wether you have teaching materials besides what is available on the internet: that would most certainly help to get better results.
Your job sounds appealing to me because I like to expand my teaching experience in having students online. Now I just teach in real life and I like to have a more global variety of students. I am flexible: I can also give 1 or 2 hours a day, or a week 4 hours a day (more than 4 hours a day is really too much for most student). That's to be arranged later.
Sincerely,
Ingrid ten Bos
