React Full Stack Developer

ABOUT THE ROLE [login to view URL] is an innovative start-up developing a hybrid SaaS platform to service a rapidly growing and extremely valuable space within luxury retail. We are seeking an experienced full-stack React/AWS software developer to join our hybrid remote/London-based team and be a key participant in the next phase of our product development. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR We are looking for a full-stack developer with extensive experience and demonstrable knowledge in designing, developing, and delivering high-quality solutions within a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with the business in a small, growing team, focusing on the continuous evolution of our web and mobile applications, as well as developing the backend services that underpin the platform's growth. We will be asking prospective candidates to complete a short coding test before the interview. You will be working during UK office hours and be comfortable with office/team video calls. Responsibilities Design and develop software solutions that satisfy functional and non-functional product requirements. Work with the design team to develop new web and mobile screens from provided designs, ensuring a seamless user experience across platforms. Design, write, and maintain APIs that power our applications, ensuring seamless integration with other systems. Design and maintain databases to support both applications and services, while providing efficient data storage and processing. Integrate external services, data sources and APIs to enhance functionality, integrate with partners and support the successful provision of the business services. Build and optimise components and front-end libraries for re-use where possible. Leverage AWS services to accelerate value delivery to the business, whilst ensuring efficient and scalable solutions. Collaborate with the business to suggest effective solutions and approaches to business challenges. Ensure optimal performance of applications across popular devices and browsers. Maintain and enhance legacy code, addressing bugs and continuously working to improve system reliability and efficiency. Skills Minimum of 5 years of experience of web development with React, coupled with a thorough understanding of its core principles. Experience with React Native is desirable. In depth knowledge of AWS services and infrastructure management. Familiarity with using Adobe and Figma wireframes and design files. Excellent HTML/CSS/JavaScript skills. Excellent DB and RDMS skills with SQL and GraphQL. Postgres experience is desirable. Experience of designing, developing and integrating with RESTful APIs. Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token. Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools. Familiarity with common programming design patterns and best practices. Experience with common web development tools and services, such as version control software (Git), package managers, and CI/CD pipelines. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
