I'm needing a program (preferably python) that can take input from 2 GPS's and perform position calculations and output NMEA sentences. Should have the smarts to combine GPS's of both are in RTK fix or pick best and use it if both are not RTK.
Basic Steps:
read data from 2 GPS's simultaneously
User selective for TCP/IP, USB or Bluetooth
Decide which is best quality (or both equally good)
if only 1 GPS is good position, shift the GPS data to the center of the vehicle based on geometry and heading
if both are good, calculate the average position, altitude, etc. and calculate the vehicle heading and tilt based on each antenna position
Correct position based on tilt
output NMEA sentences for GGA and RMC to either TPC/IP, USB or Bluetooth
Be able to display points on Map (through interface, at reduced sampling rate)
Should be a GUI to set up the information (preferrably via web page)
Must run on both Raspbetrry PI & windows
must operate fast enough to handle 20Hz GPS data without loosing points
I have a hack at the initial code for the calcs that is partly functional
