Hi Freelancers ! I am looking for a PHP/java PDF text extraction utility, Don't Freak out the PDF files will all be the same structure and are digital format to begin with (you can copy and paste the text) the only change between files is the number of line items and sometimes the number of pages. What I have are invoices always from the same supplier and the same format that contain invoice items ie product code, description, price. What I am looking for is a way to automatically extract the values for each line item and insert them to a mysql database. I will be taking care of the insertion to the database and all of that junk. So what is required A web interface to select and upload the pdf invoice once uploaded the script will process and display the results on a table - each line item will take a row have the same columns as the pdf. a progress bar would be a great bonus The arrays used MUST be well commented so I can easily put together the query to insert the data to the database.
