Read two airport codes from each lines from table mightyDeals (database1) if there is no city field filled in: SELECT `toCode`,`fromCode` FROM `mightyDeals` WHERE `fromCity` ='' or `toCity`='' --> take all matching rows 2) get city names for all airports from database2 one (new connection) SELECT city FROM `airport` WHERE `iata`='$row'; 3) Save back city names into mightyDeals UPDATE fromCity set '$cityname' where toCode='$cityto' and fromCode='$cityfrom' UPDATE toCity set '$cityname' where toCode='$cityto' and fromCode='$cityfrom' This script shall run on command line (CLI). We will provide all data and tables (just need the script making a connection).
