I have a flash mp3 player PHP script with an ecommerce backend that hooks up with Paypal to sell and deliver mp3s. There is an admin area with a backend flash 8 uploader system that works with a PHP file where the user can upload the mp3's and the paths are automatically written to the xml playlist (which the player reads) and also these are written to the MySQL database ready for sale and instant delivery. I'd like to add an option to this script. In the admin area I'd like the user to have an option of setting the exact starting and finishing points for each song that is played in the player. By this I mean they will be able to set each song individually to play for a specific length of time. For example 1:03 – 2:21 or something like that. The purpose of this is so musicians can choose the best part of each song for listeners to preview in the player and then still have the full song delivered after successful payment. There would be a new page created in the admin area. I'll provide the template so you'd just need to do the coding. On this new page I'd like to have the song titles parsed onto this page. This data can be taken from the [login to view URL] file. Beside each song have 2 radio buttons and 2 impute boxes. Radio button 1 - This is selected by default and when selected makes it so the full song is played in the player. Also when this is selected it greys out (disables) the 2 impute boxes. Radio button 2 – When this selected it controls which point the song starts and stops at enabling the user to impute those 2 times in the two impute boxes (now activated, not greyed out) In the first box the user enters the start time in minutes and seconds format (2:05). In the second box is where the user enters the stop time. With this setup the user has the choice of setting each song individually to play in full or from a specific time range. For example if the user chooses song 1 to play in full (radio button 1) and then chooses song 2 to play a specific time range (radio button 2 plus impute boxes), this should not conflict. I was thinking a possible way to achieve this control is to have the new admin page write new information to the playlist xml file and have the player modified to read this data accordingly. For example possibly have a value 1 or 0 to tell the player if the full song is to be played or not. Then maybe have 1 to tell the player to play the song in the specific time range. Then if the time range is set have those time ranges written as well, keeping in mind not to conflict with any other data. Please private message me and I'll show you a demo of the working script so you can get a better idea of what's involved. **IMPORTANT** When song is played in the player it downloads to the listeners temp internet folder. When the song clip is played only the portion of the song set by the admin should be downloaded to the folder. I'm told this can be done through action scripting. If the whole song is downoaded to the folder, the listener can get the song for free and bypass the system. I have the .fla files to the player if needed. Also you'll need to ensure that this modification is bug free. My time zone is PST (GMT – 8:00) I'm looking for someone who can keep reasonable deadlines and give me updates on how things are going through this project. If you'd like to see a demo of the working script or have questions, pleasecontact me via the PMB Thanks!
