Answer ASAP 1. Describe how you would back up a live e-mail server (running Postfix and Cyrus IMAP) that handles thousands of messages a week and dozens of accounts; message integrity is paramount and service interruptions should be kept to a minimum. You will have access only to UNIX-based tools. The server has an internal drive and access to network-mounted (NFS and AFP) drives via other servers and a NAS. The server can burn CD-R and DVD-R media. If additional resources are needed, specify models, capacities, and rationale for the purchase requests. 2. We regularly receives large data sets from state voter registrations, pass-through calls, signature drives, and purchased lists of subscribers from other organizations. Describe the process you would have the IT department follow to manage collecting the data, organizing it, and presenting it to Xstaff in a format that is accessible to non-technical staff. How would you ensure data integrity? It may be necessary to merge sets of data from multiple states with incompatible source formats. What solution would you recommend? The office environment is all-Macintosh, it's sometimes necessary to provide access to internal resources (users' public folders, shared file stores, and printers) to Windows users. XXX's users are divided into two groups: One consists of workstation-based users whose Home folders are auto-mounted via NFS from a Linux-based server (they are managed through Open Directory); the other consists of users with local accounts, mainly on laptops but some on workstations. Remote access to office resources is provided over Mac OS X Server's VPN services, and the server also acts as a Windows PDC. Describe how you would integrate a user running Windows XP Professional, and one running Windows XP Home, into this environment.
