POS and I

I need a POS/Inventory Software suite with the ability to interface with any barcode scanner and printer. The software is largely a Point of Sale with inventory management and product tracking. The software must be able to associate product names and descriptions with a barcode along with attaching product serial numbers to final sales invoice. Must store information in MySQL database backend. Software must allow user to input MySQL server location (ip address) and passwords via a software settings panel. Want Cross platform support MS Windows and Linux and Web interface using PHP P.S. not sure what programming language would be best for my needs
