Directory Website for wedding business listings

I currently have a website that is built in Joomla 1.2 I think I either need an upgraded platform or new technology. I am open to any ideas and platforms. Joomla 2.5 or Wordpress, I currently have one website but wish to have multiple similar websites all with one backend cms, Please keep that in consideration. The current website consists of business listings using the [login to view URL] and I find that it is all I need but I need it updated to 2012 can anyone help with this.
