TUFaT FlashCard expert needed

Need **Flash MX 2004 Pro** and **ActionScript** expert to make modifcations to the TUFaT **FlashCard** and **FlashCard PDF Generator** apps that can be found at: <[login to view URL]> These changes should be fairly easy for a developer that knows the app.? ## Deliverables Required changes to FlashCard PDF include: * Change the current "canvas" image to something with more obvious margins and crop lines. The user needs to see how margins and cutting will affect their content.? Right now, the canvas looks like a shadowed rectangle. * Canvas should include a? horizontal ruler across the top and a vertical ruler on the left side. This will allow the user a more visual way to place text and images. * Change the "Send the greeting card" button to: * 1) Make it a more obvious "Save and continue" type of button * 2) Replace the e-mail send dialog to just save the PDF and pass the PDF file name to the subsequent PHP script. * Ability to get the? stage dimensions from PHP/MySQL or XML rather than the dropdown in FlashCard.? * The? dropdown for the stage size needs to include only ONE entry which will be passed to FlashCard as parameters or it XML. * Stage dimensions can be any width and height (probably in inches or points); for example 2.5"x3", 4"x6", 3"x5", 6"x6", etc..? Ideally, the width and height can be as? small as 0.5"x1.5" (labels)? or as large as 36"x96" (large banner). At minimum, the finished app must be able to handle sizes between 0.5"x1.5" and 11"x17".? ? * Devise a way to add to the current list of fonts.? We need to be able to add more TTF or OpenType fonts. The app current has a dropdown list of about 20 fonts.? More are needed.? *? Change to? allow a dynamic set of fonts for the item being designed.? For example, a business customer would want to use? commercial fonts like Arial, Garamond, Palatino, Helvetica, etc., but a casual user might? use Comic Sans, Curlz, or Space Toaster fonts.? The font list would be geared toward the item being designed (fun versus formal).? Fonts? will be OpenType or TrueType.? FlashCard would need to get it's list of fonts in XML or MySQL (we're flexible). * Changes to the FlashCard interface that would allow easier import and placement of mutliple JPEG, PNG or GIF images.? Even as an experienced user, I had a little trouble figuring out how to use multiple images in the layout. ? * Expanded, dynamic library of images for use as background or foreground images.? By "dynamic", I mean a constantly growing library of images that are categorized by subject or theme.? Searching for images by a keyword would make a nice feature, but we might be able to tie some of this in to the PHP portion of the app.? ? * Ability for the customer to upload their own images when designing? a product.? Upload should include a progress bar for large files.? Maybe an "Upload image" tab next to the "Pick Image" tab in FlashCard? ? * Ability to save the? design as a JPEG or PDF (depending on what the item is).? Sometimes we'll print JPEGs on a digital press, but we might use PDFs for certain items.? ? * More control over text when entering or editing. ? I think that FlashCard will only apply bold, underline, italic, color, etc. to? an entire block of text (layer), rather than individual words in the block of text.? For example, it would be nice if the user could enter "**Phone:** 219-555-1212" in a block of text.? I don't think this is possible right now in FlashCard. ? * Be able to force the design to stay within the margin frame.? For example, the user wouldn't be able to move an object? into the margin area.? ? There should be 2 margin areas.? One margin might be used by an object, but we can't guarantee that the content would be printed.? This is due to the cutting process and the difficulty in making an exact cut on every item.? So there would be a "safe area", an "iffy area" and a "will definitely get cut off area".? I hope this makes sense!? This would allow the customer to use an image as a background that completely fills the design area, but personalized information (name, address, etc.) would have to be placed in the "safe" area.? The closer you get to the edge of the item, the more likely you are to lose that content because of cutting. * Replace the "i" icon (button on lower left of app) with a "Help" icon that would link to a PHP-based "Help" page.? We will design the Help page.? We just need the link to it. * Remove the words "greeting card" in the interface. The new app will be for postcards, labels, business cards, etc. instead of "greeting card". This app will need more changes in the future, so it will be an ongoing project for the developer. DO NOT BID UNLESS YOU PLAN ON MAINTAINING THE APP AND MAKING CHANGES IN THE FUTURE.
