Backend of Compiler for C/C++

This is a project that we need to complete. Please look over the description of the project on the provided website and let us know by Tuesday December 10th, 2002 (California, US time). Here is a very brief description of our project -- to build the back end of a compiler: 1. Read in IR from the GCC transluation unit dump file 2. Translate IR into 3-address code. 3. Perform data-flow analysis & control flow-analysis 4. Perform code optimization (transformations: common ubexpression elimination, copy propgation, dead code eliminiation, loop invariant code motion) 5. Translate optimized 3-address code back into IR form 6. Perform code generation (labeling & code generating function). Produce x86 assembly code.
