We are looking to develop a software and database solution for the management and day-to-day operation of loyalty & reward schemes, designed for the acquisition of loyalty/reward transactions data from the retail & entertainment industries. It needs to be able to reside in both a single POS (point of sale) terminal or be fully integrated with a EPOS system and have the ability to operate in a multi-application environment.
The application needs to support all the leading POS terminal & EPOS providers so merchants do NOT need to upgrade their existing systems. It has to operate with both smartcards and magnetic stripe cards as well as standard multi application functionality, such as E-top up and congestion charging. The solution will incorporate a set of promotional parameters, which will be downloaded from the central database to change the promotion at any outlet in either real-time or daily batch mode. Updated promotional parameters can be downloaded to stores to implement new loyalty initiatives at the POS. Using the software, a card swiped at the point of sale triggers a request to the central customer loyalty database and the customer’s details and transaction history are updated in the central loyalty database. The database needs to form the central point of the loyalty scheme and maintain a complete history of member's transactions (purchases, redemptions, enquiries, mailings, etc) and controls the data processing flow from capture to mailing and redemption. It needs to produce a comprehensive set of management information reports as well as facilities for data analysis and mining.
