ASP.NET 4.5 / MVC 4 Repair The successful candidate will possess either a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with a major in Information Systems, or a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems / Computing and Information Systems, with at least 5 years' experience working with Microsoft’s ASP.NET framework, including transferable skills and relevant experience with Microsoft's MVC 4 system architecture, and T-SQL, as well as Microsoft’s DBMS, SQL Server Management Studio. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in utilizing version control systems, particularly Git, to keep a project organized, and be able to communicate clearly, providing detailed documentation of all changes completed. Experience with the Umbraco open-source content management system is an asset, but not required. Applicants with relevant experience in this CMS, in addition to possessing the preceding qualification requirements, will be considered before other applicants. Common tasks will include the following: 1. Troubleshooting syntax, logic, and runtime errors 2. Debugging and errors that have been diagnosed 3. Creating a working build on the local development environment, and merging into the master repository 4. Deploying to the production environment test server for further testing and client approval 5. Moving files to the production environment live server when approved In addition to skillset, experience, and educational requirements, the following toolsets and libraries are mandatory: 1. Microsoft Visual Studio Professional 2013 2. Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio 3. ASP.NET 4.5 4. MVC 3 and 4 The successful candidate will be a team-player and be able to handle constructive criticism from managers who are not as experienced in the particulars of programming as the candidate may be. The candidate is of good character and repute, carrying out their tasks and business relationships with honesty and integrity, demonstrating grace under pressure, when required, and respecting those who may not be as experienced or educated as they are in their particular field ie. C# programming, algorithms etc. The candidate will understand that all team members in their respective fields of expertise bring different skillsets to the table, and each skillset will be respected accordingly.
