iOS Chat Feature

Hi For backend php, mysql and apis in JSON will be great. I prefer custom made database. For chat engine, we can make custom chat engine where user can send and receive messages in text and images but it lacks one feature ... We cannot have status like "UserX is typing" in the custom made chat engine. If you want to have this feature, you should go for quickblox or SendBird. They provide apis and sdk to build chat engine. But they have limited usage for free account. Please check their pricing details. We have built chat engine in almost every app ...as its a very common features nowadays.
