Image Screen Scrape (AWS Lambda)

Background: We have a fairly simple workflow for visitors that visit our offices. When they arrive we take a picture in front of our sign and then forward that picture to a specific email address to start of an internal workflow that announces the visitor to the team (and also archives the picture) We are testing out a transition to a Pixilated Wall Pixi as a stationary device that will take the pictures of guest by just clicking on the screen to begin a countdown. Problem: The problem is that the device doesn’t “yet” support a web hook or integration that allows us to know when a new picture is taken so we can’t initiate our workflow. Pictures are instead stored only internally within the Pixi backend application. Work Around: We would like to build a Lambda task that runs in a configurable manner (potentially nightly, every hour, ever 15 mins, etc) that polls the Pixi backend to see if any new pictures have been taken, and if so it should email those pictures individually to a specified email address. Note the email should be sent from an internal email address (so it will need to authenticate before sending). Username and password will be provided to the Pixi backend application. Access will be granted to the AWS instances and all configuration must be done inside of the instance.
