Scoreboard for a cocktail competition done in a fancy Powerpoint Presentation

We are running a cocktail competition which will have 21 competitors. The scoreboard will be displayed on a huge projected screen for the audience to see. As the competition goes on, we would like to be able have the scoreboard look as though it is updating as bartenders are dismissed from the competition. Eventually only 3 will remain to fight it out in the final. We want to be able to show a photo reel on the big projected screen, (which we will take care of producing) whilst at the same time in the background, someone will be adjusting the powerpoint presentation in real time as the competition is happening. We need that PP template, so when we switch from the photo reel over to the scoreboard, the powerpoint presentation will look cool, it will be timed and the bartenders names will move into their new positions according to their points. So, who is a master of creating PowerPoint templates? It must be able to work on a MacBook Pro. Thanks
