This is exactly what I do on my current project. I have a full lab with an Environmental Chamber heat/cold/humidity, a depth pressure/vacuum tester, and many other fixtures and instruments. If you could send me a 3D solid model in SolidWorks I could look at the dimensions and application and determine what would be the best. My main focus is on the chemistry of the engineering, finding out what material and processes are the best for the application. There are many environmental factors that could damage your product from salt fog to general corrosion. I have a special test to rapidly rust dissimilar metals to create metallurgic migration. Even with 440 stainless chromium oxide III can still form.
