We need a small circuit based on 555 timer or something similar. The circuit will be used to drive a small dc motor. the task of the circuit is to cutoff the power after 2 mins of usage. Accuracy can be within +-5% The circuit will have a button for user to start/stop the motor. The time period should be independent of the voltage level of the battery i.e. should not dop as the cell voltage drops. The application will be used for a toothbrush wherein the toothbrush will turn off after 2 mins of operation but the user should have the ability to stop it before that as well in case required. The power will be provided via single AA cell.

I have worked and played with the 555 timer for 4 years now and have created circuits similar to this project, no doubt you will get what you desire, I can even add a delay time adjuster to vary time Relevant Skills and Experience A sound knowledge on monostable vibrator using 555 timer is needed as well as a basic knowledge on electronics. For this project, few transistors will also be needed to effect the on/off function
