We are looking for a technical support representative for Tier I support for a software company. You will be answering client tickets for situations such as refunds, license key issues, and troubleshooting installation issues among others. We need someone who loves technology and tinkering and is used to troubleshooting common software issues. The job will require 20 to 24 hours weekly to start, but that may move to full time in the near future. The current times needed to fill are from 4PM to 7PM M-F EST / Saturday 11AM to 7PM EST and Sunday 3AM to 11AM EST The schedule will rotate at times, but you can expect the above times to be firm for the next 3 months at least. Tell me why you are the best, and give me an example of a difficult troubleshooting issue you have overcome.

Having a University degree upto Masters level in Information Technology from a Scottish University I have acquired the soft skills needed to bridge the gap between machines and humans in addition to troubleshoot IT related issues in a broad range of environments and services. On a certain occasion whilst I was I was helping resolve a technical issue via remote support, the customer's internet connection was lost due to which the remote session terminated. As such I had to set up a local virtual environment of the issue the customer was facing, call the customer and walk him through the troubleshooting procedure which was quite challenging due to lack of visual activity but quite rewarding in the end.

I've done marketing and handled customers when I worked at a mobile store. I used to help the customers troubleshoot all the problems with the phone and also with computers. I used to troubleshoot all the software and hardware installations. we used team viewer to solve the software issues related to the mobile application when at work. I became the manager within six months and handled all the customer support online and also at the store.

I have more than 5 years’ experience as a call center agent wherein I worked at top call center companies in the Philippines as well as previous work experience with the San Diego Community College District and the San Diego County Marshal’s office. Greetings, Just reviewed your post and I am very confident that I am the right Customer/ Tech Support Agent for you. I can work 20 to 24 hours weekly at your required timezone. I am very well trained in Phone Handling, Customer Support, and more. I used to work with Bellsouth now AT&T as a Customer/ Technical Support Representative and even got awarded for exemplary performance. I am willing to learn and I learn fast. One of the unforgettable troubleshooting experience I had was a New Installation. The were an elderly couple around 65 to 70 years old. It was their first time to use or even see a computer. They only wanted to have a computer so they can communicate more often with their children and grandchildren living in other state and some relatives too. It was really hard for me to explain the how to's since they are not familiar with the parts. First I asked if there is someone else with them, I was told that they have a caregiver but when I talked to the caregiver she does not know how to use a computer as well. So I described the parts like the CPU, the monitor the cables etc. it took us more than 4 hours I think but they were very very patient and so eager to have it working. I walked them through step by step on the manual installation then up to connecting to the internet. as an extra mile I asked them to download teamviewer and I downloaded skype and taught them how to use it. At the end of the day I got a verbal commendation and a perfect CSAT.

Hello, I am new to this platform, just joined recently. But i am into IT domain since past 15 years. In past have provided technical support to our customers (Banks, Accounting firms, ISP Customers) using team viewer, RDP and other remote desktop tools. I was also responsible for providing email support and live chat support for various software developed by our company. My task included virus / malware removal, data backup and restore and troubleshooting common windows / printers / network errors. I was also responsible for training my juniors about various accounting software being used by the company. For 2 years i worked with an ISP providing helpdesk support during downtime. Support included router configuration, modem configuration and other network related troubleshooting. I have a typing speed of 60 wpm.
