Our company would like something like a social networking application developed. We would like it to be a software application so it can run behind our firewalls. We would like for all employees to have there own page where they can blog, update there calendars and needed information, but we would also like the employees to be able to chat, instant message, and be able to voice over ip with other employees. It would also have features such as clicking on the department tab and seeing which employees ore logged in from which departments. We would like this to work within our office or from abroad (still using the same above mentioned application installed on employees laptops). We would like detailed bids so we know how you plan on doing this and implementing it, we are open to professional suggestions on the easiest and cheapest way of having this done. We are kind of shooting in the dark here so we will do not know what language it will be built in but it needs to work on xp and vista machines. We have in-house designers so we can create mock ups of how we want the pages once we have awarded the bid.
