Type: Freelance (pays per article) The Young Leader, the online publication for Global Leadership Adventures, is looking for several Featured Writers to bring onboard on a per-article basis. This paid freelance position is ideal for college students, recent graduates, and others who are looking to be published on a popular online platform. We know many young writers have demanding schedules, and our position is designed to work around your schedule by paying you directly for the work we publish, with no set hours. This is the perfect position for aspiring writers who want to get their feet wet and be paid to write. The Young Leader is focused on reaching high school students, and our motto encourages teens to ‘jump out of your comfort zone.’ All of our blog posts and articles are written in a voice that speaks to teens in an authentic way. There are no stuffy news articles here - it’s all about being casual, relevant, and genuinely interesting to our high school-aged readership. I've been in positions of leadership. In high school, I served as an FFA officer for three years, and another year in college. I was a manager for a landscaping business at 17 years old, and I've run two different small businesses. I was raised with a strong work ethic, and I believe that is the single greatest key to the successes and failures of any generation. I've always been a go-getter, and I love passing that on to kids and young adults. I am in my 30s now, with three kids of my own. I love building into them, and others youths in the world, too. Please note that my bid is based on what would amount to a feature-length article of 1,500 words. Generally, my rate is $50 for a typical blog post, or $0.10 per word for longer articles. The "milestone" I provided makes that assumption, but your needs will dictate the actual bid based on that range. I'm admittedly new to Freelancer.com, so if we need to revise things, please let me know.
