Simple Search and Research tool

simple Research tool to be done in Visual studio 2010 express/ C#/Widnows Forms ## Deliverables I need a basic research tool (windows application), that does searches on google and shows the result with export option. I have a small budget, but will give you good feedback. The tool is basically is going to use Google web search and Google blog search, to search for a given keyword and automatically navigate set number of pages (default 20) and collect the result and do more stuff with it. Use Case 1. enter keyword, hit search 2. by default it’ll search Google blogs ([login to view URL]), OR if selected will do google web search 3. Show progress bar 4. Get the result and then, for each found site, go to the site and pull: a. Title, meta keyword and meta description, b. check if it’s wordpress site c. Check the fallowing links for RSS: (usually wordpress has it) i. ?feed=rss2 ii. ?feed=comments-rss2 iii. And when you get the content from the site, maybe check for RSS link in it. 5. so each page has 10 links, do the above and then move to the next page and repeat. Have 2 second delay between moving through the pages, I don’t want to get blocked from search engine. 6. show the result in the Grid when done, with all the columns: a. url, title, is_wordpress, has_rss b. When exported, have all the columns, meta_keywords, meta_description, rss_url, rss_comments_url c. Note: I need the main site’s title, and meta info. So for each link, you have to grab the content from main url. 7. have Stop/Start buttons Here is more detailed specs on UI: 1. Create windows C# application in Visual Studio 2010 express 2. Application will have 2 tabs, Search and Settings a. Settings tab will use xml file, which should be located in the same folder as the exe, if the file does not exist, auto create it. b. Have a Save button on Settings, if saved, save the result and when re-opened it should pull from the saved xml. 3. Search Tab a. TextBox ??" to enter keyword b. Start/Stop buttons c. Web Search / Blog Search radio button d. TextBox ??" for number of pages to go through, Default 20 e. DataGrid ??" to show the result f. Export button, will export the result to CSV file with column names on top Test the Tool with the fallowing keywords and export them and include in the package you send me. 1. Accounting 2.
