Web design of a travel search engine

Our website is a trip search engine designed by travelers who needed a solution to find their next destination. It is addressed to all travelers who know when they’ll go, have an idea of the budget to spend but have no exact idea on where to go. Our site has to be easy to use, intuitive, modern and clear. The visitor will have a lot of information and actions available. The website design, which will be the Twitter Bootstrap template, must be so efficient that the user does not feel this complexity but the opposite: getting at the right step the information needed to make a decision. Everything must be thought to ease the readability, maximize the performances and provide a great user experience making each visitor feel that the hours spent before comparing travel sites is now a thing of the past. It must also fit users new habits of booking travels from different devices, such as laptop, tablets and mobile phones, whatever the manufacturer. Skills required The skills required to answer to this bidding are: - Web design - HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, jquery - PSD to HTML (optional) - Twitter Bootstrap - Flat design - Responsive Web Design - Mobile device usability Expected deliverables The following deliverables will need to be provided and approved to close the project: First phase deliverables: - 2 different creative routes for the home page and the booking page, in both laptop and mobile version - The creative routes can be delivered as images or slide presentation - The team will debrief the routes and select 1 to move forward with Final deliverables for the selected route: - Design document and jpgs - PSD files if needed - HTML5, CSS3 files and source code - Javascript and jquery source code - Any other pieces of source code needed - Asset files (pictures, buttons, icons…): all icons or buttons described in the wireframes below are in the scope of this design assignment and must be consistent with the overall look and feel. The only exception is the logo, which is being designed separately - All assets provided must be free of right - Document describing file structure, css classes and HTML code delivered Document describing the responsive design device-specific adaptations - This document must also mention the picture dimensions in pixel corresponding to each picture placeholder included in the design This final deliverable list covers all the site pages described below, in laptop, mobile and tablet versions. Important Note: The business logic and search engine will be developed in PHP. This is work in progress which will be lead at the same time as the web design.
