Python Coding set the IP Pool for Dedicated IP for Sparkpost

We are using shared IP from Sparkpost to send email from Python. Now, We have rented a dedicated IP to route all of our email through. While we contacted sparkpost how to configure or use this dedicated IP we got following reply:

Hello,

Thanks for contacting us. You IP Address is : x.x.x.x

In order to route messages through a specific IP Pool, you will need to include the appropriate “ip_pool” value at the transmission level.

SMTP header example:

X-MSYS-API: { “options” : { “ip_pool” : “your_ip_pool_name” } }

REST transmission example:

{

“options” : {

“ip_pool” : “your_ip_pool_name”

},

“recipients” : [ … ],

“content” : { … }

}
