Small Matlab project

This is very simple project. Please read the attached files carefully in order to understand the full requirements. This project is from a trusted client. No payments or milestones will be created until the project is delivered and tested by the client, and until the client is satisfied. I need submit a FULL report (in PDF) and source codes in a zipped folder. Project details: 1. To pre-process the energy consumption data using digital signal processing techniques. The first objective is to design a (i) non-causal digital smoothing filter (e.g., Laplacian Smoother, Kernel Smoother, etc.) and a (ii) causal digital filter (e.g., Kalman filter, low pass filter, etc.) for filtering the measurements of energy consumption. You may assume that the sampling rate of the digital filter is 1s. 2. Design an intelligent pattern recognition algorithm to accurately classify the energy operation states based on the smoothened energy consumption data. You may use any algorithm in current literature including Fuzzy c-means, quality threshold, K-means, support vector machines, etc., or propose a new approach. The effectiveness of the proposed digital filter will have to be verified with three different data sets.
