identify flash on a screen

I want this done in python and preferably opencv
I have a display device showing a single color/image at 80fps. I have a external camera mounted on capturing images at 260fps.
sometimes randomly the display device produces a flash approx 1-2frames I want to log the time i see the flash

This should be easy, but I am worried about the processing speed. Your camera will send 80 images per second and only 1-2 images will have flash in it (if this happens)??? I don't know how we will solve this issue. Más
