SMS BOOKING SYSTEM Namibia Traffic Information System (NaTIS) requires a booking and scheduling system to handle the booking of learners licence tests. There are two tests namely: 1. Written learners test - so that a person can get a learner's driving licence 2. Learner's driving - a driving test so that the learner can obtain a driver's licence At the beginning people use to wake up early or even sleeping in the queue at Traffic offices country wide in order to book for tests. This has been a problem because only 40 people can be taken per day, the rest use to be turned down. As a result of this, NaTIS came up with a telephone booking system whereby one have to call and book. This made matters worse because the line is always busy, for one to get through to them you must sit the whole day on the telephone trying to call every minute. In this case people become frustrated because they cannot get through. OUR SOLUTION: They approached me with a suggestion of providing them with an SMS booking system whereby people can just send messages using their mobile phones and the system can handle all the booking activities. This way no one will be left out because all messages will be taken. This system will be implemented countrywide. We will negotiate with mobile companies so that we can also get a percentage from all sms being sent to the system.
Important/ Features: 1) Automatic Schedule Generate for every client 2) Specific user can use the software 3) Auto Generate SMS send 4) For Any failure, SMS and Alert will generate and send to higher level authorities 5) For theory Test, Question will be randomly generate. 6) Manage the Fees Structure also 7) Auto re-book - if a learner fails a test, the system must automatically re-book a new date after 21 days. In order to control this, a learner must sms his/her ID number, by analysing the ID number the system must be able deny a booking within 21 days if the learner failed the test. This must also prevent double booking of a learner that is already booked. 8) Administration of all offices country wide: The system must be able to be installed at the head quarters (main server) and local offices (local servers). There about 20 towns where tests are being done. The head office can view all activities happening at all other offices countrywide. 9) Touch Screen Based: The system must support touch screen, the question are multiple choice questions. A learner will be able to select the correct answers by touching. After completion the learner can still review the answers and upon completion he/she can press a submit button. Results can be displayed immediately on the screen and also be send to the learner's cellphone. 10) Auto generate questions
