PHP Modifications to Social Networking Site

I run a small social networking site and need a technical programmer very familiar with PHP and MySQL to help debug a search page. The search is very basic (see attached screenshop) and works well, with the exception of one of the refinements (search by zipcode). I need visitors to be able to search for other visitors by zipcode proximity (within 5 miles, 10 miles, 20 miles, 30 miles). As you can see from the screen shots, most of the work has been done, it's just not working properly.
If this small project goes well, I would like to open an ad hoc hourly contract for a wide variety of php features and enhancements.
I will be choosing the winning provider based on 1.) experience with advanced PHP 2.) ratings and completed projects 3.) hourly rate. Please provide information with regards to each in your bid.
