Currently I have a php code (90-120 lines) that download a big image 4096x2048 from S3 and then slice it into small pieces (64 files) of 256x256 pixels and upload them again to S3 with Laravel 5.1 in HEROKU. This process take 00:01:10 minute for each big image.

I want to migrate this code to AWS lambda with NodeJS in order to make it faster and clean. I have written some code but is not working well. This is the complete process:

- Download a image from S3

- if the image is too big, then resize it to 4096x2048

- Slice the big image into small pieces 256x256 following the logic of the old code.

- upload each piece to S3

- Return something to the caller in order to know that the function has done the process.

- IMPORTANT: The result should be the same that the old logic.

I want some help in order to make it work. (advices, review of my code, ect)
