Fix Drupal Database and File Structure, Update Drupal Core Engine.

I have a Drupal site and when I update the site I keep getting errors. I need a developer who knows more about Drupal to fix the file structure and database and update the website to the latest engine and fix errors that are being displayed.
This issue arose when an apprentice decided update the Drupal Core and he renamed the folder 'views' to '[login to view URL]' (see img001) . When he updated the database the file structure pointed towards '[login to view URL]'. Now when I try to update the core engine its looking for the views folder, which isn't active so I get an error message like the one I provided.
I have limited knowledge of Drupal but I was unable to revert the issue.
