We have a prospect who needs quite an extensive project delivered. I'm pasting below "very brief" notes to give you an idea about the project.
Essentially what it is consists of combining a lot of existing technology and bringing it into this "central hub." For example, there are applications that allow users to control lights in their home, climate control, etc. Basically apps where you can talk into it and it will do the job. Very interactive.
I'm assuming this would be a cloud web application that we can also build into a mobile app?
I've already briefed him on the significance of this project. A lot to it. My main question is how we can integrate with the existing hardware/technology? I'm assuming we would need to see if they have APIs available? If not, what solutions do you suggest?
At this time, since there is not enough detailed information to provide a price, I need a list of specific questions from you to ask the client?
Notes:
-basically a "talking house" - no more remote controls!
-across the board entire new level of accessing home components (not just lights, alarms, etc.)
-program will give you pre-selected responses (ex. set temp to 78 degrees…."well what area of the house? etc.)
-voice recognition software
-cloud based or app?
-security element (bluetooth recognition? software recognizes your bluetooth)
We need someone who can write interactive software script with programmed reply to speech commands and have the ability to interact with hardware., Script must also integrate voice recognition patten for security protocol.
