Modify Templates in PDFLIB

We would like to read a static pdf file into a php program and add dynamic data. Program is written using pdflib and uses the template option of pdflib. Problem is when we do this we receive the error "file has been corrupted and can not be recovered". when we send the modified file to a web browser.

Purpose of the program is add information to a already made pdf file. So there may be alternative methods to add dynamic data to a static pdf file and we are open to suggestions. We are not interested in just taking the static pdf file and converting it to an raster image and placing it on the page. Took much defination is lost so the vector portion of the pdf needs to be maintained.

testing will be to have variable data entered into a form that includes the x/y coordinates then run a program that adds these to a static pdf file that already exists. Current thought is to run a php program to generate pdfs using pdflib that would read in the static pdf file using template commands. Then start a new page, place the template, place the variable data using standard pdflib commands and the sent the buffer to web browser.

## Deliverables

1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.

2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):

a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.

b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.

3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).
