Do changes on existing application

We have an android app allready existing. We want to change something on this application. For now we are setting some attributes in the [login to view URL] data file. For the future we want to have a kind of like installer on open the app the first time. There you have to put an id and you have to connect to our webservice to check for all needed configs. Then save the configs on the Android app and on the next opening you are tsarting the application automatically with those configs. For question let me know
