Android text message appointments - repost

Purpose: To send text messages to patients to remind them of appointments and to receive responses like 1 for yes and 2 for No. I need an android application to read an xml file on a server. It must make the request. Must allow for server, port and key to be set and stored on actual android as a setting for the software installed. The application must present a calendar to the user which once selected will then pass the parameter to a web service. The api I created has three components which your android application must connect to. 1. Your droid app must allow me to configure the settings for the server and key. The initial time someone runs the application it will prompt you to enter the settings for the server and key.
