Overview: We would like to create an ecommerce website for selling Ayurvedic and Herbal products. The website should give us the ability to sell our products to the outside world as well as allowing us to interact with our suppliers in sourcing the raw materials required for manufacturing our products. The website should offer a robust order management process with tracking available at every step of the process. Below are some of the basic functions we expect at a high-level. A more detailed requirements will be shared once we shortlist someone who can develop this for us. Customer Facing: 1. Product search 2. Ordering 3. Live Chat 4. Phone and email Support 5. Advertise promotions and sales 6. Product Reviews 7. Customer Reviews 8. Registration/Login for Customers and Suppliers Supplier Facing: 1. Supplier Login Page 2. Ability to Invite Suppliers to bids by sending bidding forms 3. Ability for Suppliers to login to the site using their credentials to respond to bids with their quotes 4. Ability to Select the suppliers based on their bids Administrative: 1. Ability to generate various reports. Sample reports given below. We expect at least 15 reports. a. Store Sales Report by Product b. Distributor Sales Report by Product c. Sales Tax Report d. Raw Materials Cost Report e. Shipping Cost Report 2. Manage access to the system 3. Data management, archival and retrieval We prefer using a 3rd party ecommerce solutions like zen-cart (just for example) for building the website. We would also like the website to be integrated with a open-sourced ERP solution like CK-ERP (just for example) or any other good open-sourced ERP solution (need recommendations).

Hello, You are trying to do three processes in one site. First process is the selling part of the Ayurvedic or herbal products so that is ecommerce. Second being the inventory management Third being the raw material order bids or quotes submission and approval. You are mixing b2b and b2c here whereas these should be separate. One thing more.. you have mentioned Distributors also in the reports.. but no mention of the workflow of how distributors would work? This would mean a whole new wholesale process. Would the distributors get different rates? Would the distributor have different bulk quantities? Would distributor have a registration process? I would request that you first make a workflow of user cases of normal site visitor, distributor, supplier and admin in order for things to be clear for your own knowledge and documentation.
