EXCEL for MAC (16.4) addin / 3D visualisation of datapoints EXCEL addin 3D-Chart FOr EXCEL for Mac (16.41) The addin should enable me to 1. Select an area of 4xN records, whereby a. The records in the first column shall be the Label of the record (text or Numeric) b. The records in the second, third and fourth column shall contain the X, Y, and Z values c. For any N between 4 and 5000 (3<N<5000) 2. Create a 3D chart which shows each record as datapoint in a 3-D visualization 3. With the option to also show the label of a. one, b. a selection of or c. all of the datapoints The 3D chart shall be truly 3-dimensional It must be able to 1. rotate around any of the three axis (x,y and z) 2. zoom in and out 3. select the scale of the three axis x,y and z as a. automatic OR b. manual (by inputting minimum and maximum) 4. show droplines a. for i. one, ii. a selection of or iii. all of the datapoints b. from the datapoints to the planes (e.g. from the x/y/z point to the plane X/Y/0, and/or X/0/Z, and/or 0/Y/Z…. where c. the dropline starts at the X/Y/Z value of a record and ends at X/Y/0 and/or X/0/Z and/or 0/Y/Z 5. show the x,y, and z axis 6. show the “walls” (the planes, identified by X/Y/0 and X/0/Z and 0/Y/Z ) slightly colored 7. produce a mesh that wraps the datapoints (like a net that wraps a tree, the total surface of all triangles is minimized (therefore, no negative “dents”)) 8. show the “cutting line” of the mesh in respect of the “walls” 9. if there is no cutting line, show the shadow of the mesh onto the walls (which co-incides with the drop-lines of the points defining the mesh) 10. if you have questions, raise them. 11.
