Remote Desktop over HTTP - repost

We need a remote desktop application which runs over HTTP. This is more than running over port 80. ***It must actually run over HTTP.***

The application should be a remote desktop application, simmilar to VNC, or Terminal services.

The implementation may be a new application, a from scratch implementation of VNC, or a modification of an existing VNC server/client to support HTTP.

Implementation of something that just wraps the existing VNC client/server to use HTTPTunnel etc is not acceptable.

The preferred solution : a from scratch implementation of VNC client and server written in C# that supports BOTH the original protocols, and running over HTTP.

This is for running under Windows XP, server 2003, 2008, and windows 7.

****Important Information of functionality****

The application would be installed at many remote locations and talk back to a server at a single main office. From the main office, users should be able

to remotely connect back to the remote locations and perform work as needed.

The server should be able to listen under any port defined, and accept a username and password, just like the original VNC.

The http server should be self contained. IE it should not require IIS or apache to host.

NOTE :

While VNC and Windows remote desktop both support a "web" interface, the applet/activeX control is sent to the browser via HTTP,

but the actual remote desktop/RFB connection is sent over their proprietary ports using TCP, not HTTP.

## Deliverables

1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done.

2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables):

a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment.

b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request.

3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement).

## Platform

Windows XP, server 2003, 2008, and windows 7 for both the client and server.

If VNC (RFB) protocol is selected, the application should maintain compatability with the other implementations of VNC when not in HTTP mode.
