With a year of experience in Django apps development, this looks like a project that is familiar. Digital Ocean is a good platform to deploy python projects mainly because of the ease, documentation and tutorials it provides. Installation of those packages and softwares are not really hard or complicated, my main point of focus is developing the portfolio to ensure that they have a modern feel, is interactive to the user and is easy to maintain and add new features. I would be interested to know whether you would prefer to use ReactJs or Angular to develop the frontend, not that it is mandatory or anything, but the advantages that comes with utilising either of the two are a lot.
