I'm seeking a proficient developer to create a bespoke app for Windows that utilizes a LLM. This app will need to handle 60 pdf files of scientific papers concurrently and furnish me with the ability to interact with them simultaneously in a chat form.
Key functionality requirements include:
- The efficient reading and management of 60 scientific papers.
- A chat function that allows me to interact with all these documents at the same time.
In terms of design, I prioritize simplicity and clarity. I'm not looking for fancy aesthetics. Ease of use, intelligibility and efficiency is my primary focus.
Necessary skills include:
- Proficiency in Windows application development
- Experience with LLM
- Understanding of how to handle multiple PDFs concurrently
- Ability to create a clean, simple, and user-friendly design.
Using the following stack: Technology Stack
Language Models:
ChatGPT API (if you have access to its API) or other large language models (LLMs) that can understand and generate text.
Hugging Face Transformers: Provides several pre-trained language models if the ChatGPT API is not available.
PDF Processing:
PyPDF2: For reading and extracting text from PDF files.
Vector Databases (Optional): like Pinecone, Weaviate, or Milvus. They're great for storing text data from PDFs in a way that makes it easier for the language model to search and retrieve relevant information (embedding).
Framework:
LangChain: A powerful framework for building applications with LLMs, document loaders, and vector databases.
Frontend:
Streamlit: Fast and simple way to build a web interface for your app.
React/JavaScript: For building custom, feature-rich frontends, although more complex to set up.
