I'm in urgent need of an experienced Android mobile app developer who can expertly iron out an issue I am experiencing with the backend of my service provider mobile app. The app's prime function is to connect clients with service providers like maids, cooks, and nannies.
Currently, the application is not displaying notifications accurately when it is in a background or quiet state. Specifically, after receiving and clicking on a notification, the app should ideally open back to the home screen and display this notification but it isn't.
Your job as the freelancer:
* Fix the issue where notifications are not properly displayed after being clicked
* Ensure successful routing back to the home screen from the notification
