We are looking for the best design of an eBook cover for sale with online stores e.g. Amazon, Barnes & Noble and Nook etc.

The eBook story is the first of an ongoing series. The first successful design will shape subsequent sequels; so it is important the winner of this contest be of high artistic talent, quality-focused and submits an original design.

: )... Well - that was certainly wasn't a waste anyone's time and effort, was it boys and girls? Certainly wasn't for the winner. Call me crazy - but I'm fairly confident pretty much any random passer-by in the street could have provided you with a couple of stock images and a stock font if that's what they had known you were wanting. Alas. Your brief lead us to believe you required something original. And designed. Still - that circle MAKES that cover. Yes, it does. We can see why you picked the winner. It takes talent to lay down a roughed up vector circle over a stock image - one that incredibly STILL doesn't meet the criteria of "a group of competing assassins" let alone "post-apocalyptic" - despite everyone else falling over backwards to accommodate that in response to the note you us (hours before you knew you were going to close) and (in most cases) delivered for your consideration - despite us going over time doing it. All to try to accommodate. You. Appreciate that. Thank you.

  You left notes on several designers works at the last minute stating the requirement you wanted from their entries - knowing it too late for them to realistically do anything about it before the contest closed. And then - AFTER the contest closed - you watched saying nothing as they wasted their time trying to undertake what you'd directed them to do - knowing perfectly well that you had already chosen a stock-job as the winning candidate. Sarcasm, you call it? Well, you're certainly right about one thing. Somebody really has been taking piss.

  That is rotten bad luck. You have my sympathies. The comps only gone on general notification today - I myself only came across it completely by accident yesterday - shame the contest holder's going to miss out from all the interest Freelancers bump email will generate, let alone modifications which could be submitted to specification.
