I am an individual, US based, LAMP programmer just breaking out of the corporate mold and trying out this freelancing thing. I have spent the last 3 years working for a major university. In that capacity I was instrumental in the building of a highly specialized content management system and framework based on the git version control system. I also built many custom applications for both the front end of the college website and secure intranet administration applications essential to the smooth operation of the college. I work close to the Linux operating system. I prefer to work directly on a server using ssh, though I am just fine with the more typical method of working locally and uploading using ftp. In terms of web technologies and approach, I strive for w3c compliant, clean mark up. I do all styling through css. My html is semantic, my JavaScript is unobtrusive and I just love jQuery. I have also had some experience with mootools. I tend to write procedural php code, but I am quite comfortable with object oriented php. In SQL I strive for adherence to conventions of normalization levels 1,2 and 3, with use of stored procedures and functions where appropriate. I am a constant learner an I am always up for a new challenge. I look forward to satisfying your LAMP needs.
