First of all, I am developer myself so I can quickly tell the existence or absence of skills of other developers. After posting the project ffunch was extremely responsive answering my questions already during the weekend. He did an excellent job analyzing the problem, then implemented a solution in Ruby on Rails. Additionally he discovered a problem in my "application logic" and suggested a solution that we will now implement. All in all, excellent experience, very responsive, service oriented - definitely somebody with whom I want to work together again.
