Bethany W.

I was born and raised in Chattanooga, TN and for the past three months I have served as an Americorps Volunteer in Service to America. In May of 2017 I received a classic language intensive honors degree in Classical Humanities from Lee University, where I served as president of Alpha Chi and Humanities Coalition. I was also a member of the Kairos Honors Scholars, which inspired my academic path and connected me to a local non-profit for at-risk K-12th grade students and their families, where I eventually became an employee and Grants Manager. My work in non-profits has given me a passion for making educational opportunities available to all who wish to learn, regardless of factors such as their socioeconomic circumstances, ethnicity, race, gender, or sexual orientation.
