I'm looking for an EXPERT Freelance Zend Developer, which in the first place will be to help me finish off a Admin facility for a project I am working on. This is actually a taster project for something bigger, as I need to find a really talented dev to help me with the larger part of the project, but want to test them out on something less significant.
The Admin facility is mainly already written, there is a framework in place to manage the business data (Every Model isa object and there is a service layer to manage the data) each object is mapped directly from a database and a framework we have built makes accessing the database and converting to objects painless. However there is the need to improve the form validation (client and server side) as well as some various upload facilities (upload a excel spreadsheet, validate and put in the database). I need to create several reports which will also generate graphs (Google Charts + Jquery. There are one of two new interfaces needed to be built (but again this is trivial with the framework). The code is CLEAN, OBJECT ORIENTATED and unless you really know what your doing please do not bid. Your going to need to know SVN and comfortable on linux for developing. Whilst in this project it hasn't been done to the level I would like, developers who embrace the benefit of unit testing and are very familiar with Phpunit and happy to write tests will be highly considered.
As I said this project is just a taster, I am really looking for a amazing Zend developer who I can work with on more complicated things.
Before you bid on this project, may I please request you read this very very carefully.
Firstly - I'm not looking for a company to work with, I run a small software business myself and this is to help me with one of my projects and I am looking for a highly skilled developer to work closely with me on this project.
Secondly - communication is key, the last Zend dev I used unfortunately wanted to work in isolation, the end result was he did things which were not compatible and we ended up having to rewrite the code. So I would expect you to work mainly in our timezone (UK so a dev in Europe is ideal). And communicate regularly via messenger
Thirdly - You have to follow our coding conventions, we need the code to be maintanable and scalable, no hacky code is welcome.
Fourthly - Unless you have serious Zend experience, please don't bid creating a simple web/app does not count... you should know and have used all the normal stuff such as Zend_Acl, Zend_Auth, Zend_Validate and much more. If you can demonstrate complex projects you have worked with, thats going to help.!
