Highlight Nav Menu Items on One Page Scroll

My website is utilizing the WordPress Twenty Seventeen theme. The home page includes multiple pages together to create one continuous scrolling page. The current top main navigation menu functionality, once you click on a menu item, is as follows: — the JS code checks to make sure that any other menu item that is currently active switches to inactive. — The menu item the user clicked on becomes active (text highlighted a different color) and automatically scrolls the user to the section of the home page (with help of jQuery Smooth Scroll plugin) that corresponds with that navigational menu item content. I already have working JavaScript/jQuery code that performs this functionality described above. I need help with the following: Currently, the top main navigational menu items do not become active/inactive as the user scrolls down the home page through the different page content sections. I need a freelancer who is an expert in jQuery/JavaScript that can add this additional functionality so that when a user scrolls up/down the home page (not onclick), through the various page sections, the appropriate top menu items will become active/inactive with regards to the page content section the user is currently viewing.
