Awesome! It's always fun to create something new and starting something in the spoken word genre is a great idea. The market keeps expanding and clients/prospects are always looking to consume new content. That's why, for the past 10 years, I've been working as an audio engineer, specializing in spoken word. I have worked with most of the major publishers (Simon and Schuster, Harper, Random House) to edit and do the post-production on their audiobooks (I've worked on the audiobooks for some of the top authors: Stephen King, Jeffery Deaver, Alice Walker). I have done it all from start (recording) to end (post-production and distribution). In your case, I've done everything you need too: removing background noise, echo, coughs, clicks -- anything and everything distracting to the listener and adding on an intro and outro. At what time and what time zone are you going to be recording the podcasts? I want to make sure, with the time difference, we are on the same page for delivery within 90 minutes. Hi there, I have worked in this field for over 25 years. Most of my work is Studio based with radio, spoken word, film editing, foley, and recording artists. I was based in the London and New York and moved to Australia just over 6 months ago and have put together a mastering/editing suite and continue working for clients around the globe remotely. I am fluent in most commercial D.A.W. I also used to freelance for a commercial studio in England recording and mixing ¾ track demo E.P. averaging around 600 sessions a year.
