Hi there, The requirements look quite clear in terms of functionality yet some critical details are missing. There are 2 solutions we can use for this; computer vision and cross matching stills. With computer vision the program would try to recognize the shape and color directly using mathematical operations on the area these images displayed. It is the more complex but performant option. We'd probably use a library for this like opencv. The downside is you can't simply add new images for recognition, no pentagons. Cross matching is a much more simpler approach. Eventhough it's less than mediocre compared to cv under normal circumstances for simple cases it'd be the better choice. With this method, a set of images are labeled and loaded into the program. Then the program simply compares the image it has to recognize with the loaded images in a somewhat bitwise manner and highest match wins. You can add new images with this method. Anyway, actually it all depends on the size of the area you want to track and the noise in there. If you can explain your use case in more detail that'd be a good start, thanks.
